Our AML and Verification Policy

We operate under Anjouan licence ALSI-202411152-FI7, and that licence carries real obligations. This page sets out, in plain terms, how we meet them and what we may ask of you.

Our AML Commitment

Coinpoker Casino is owned by Coinpoker N.V. and licensed by the Anjouan gaming authority under licence number ALSI-202411152-FI7. That licence binds us to the anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorism-financing rules of our licence jurisdiction, and we build our internal controls around them.

Our commitment is practical, not decorative. We run risk-based checks on accounts and transactions, we train our compliance staff, and we report suspicious activity to the relevant authorities where the law requires it. We cannot discuss those reports with you, and that silence is a legal obligation, not rudeness.

When We Verify You

We keep verification light for crypto play. In the ordinary course, you can register, deposit and withdraw in Bitcoin, Tether or Ethereum without submitting documents, because the blockchain itself gives us an auditable record of your transactions.

We verify identity in three situations: when you deposit or withdraw in fiat, when a withdrawal exceeds 16,000 AUD, or when our monitoring flags unusual activity on your account. If we trigger verification, we ask for a government-issued photo ID, a proof of address dated within the last three months, and evidence that the payment method belongs to you.

  • Government photo ID: passport, driver licence or national ID card
  • Proof of address: utility bill, bank statement or tenancy agreement
  • Payment method ownership: card photo with middle digits covered, or a screenshot of your e-wallet or crypto wallet showing your name

How Verification Works

Verification runs through your account dashboard. Upload clear, uncropped photos of the original documents, not photocopies, and make sure all four corners and every character are legible. We review most submissions within 24 hours, and you will see the status change in your dashboard as each document is approved.

Your documents travel over an encrypted connection and are stored on access-restricted servers. Only compliance staff with a business need can open them, and we never share them with third parties except where a regulator or law-enforcement body lawfully compels us to.

  • Open the Verification tab in your account settings
  • Upload your photo ID, proof of address and payment-method evidence
  • Wait for our review, typically under 24 hours
  • Check the dashboard for approval status and any follow-up requests

Why We Ask for Source of Funds

If your deposits exceed levels we consider normal for recreational play, or if your account shows patterns our monitoring cannot explain, we may ask where the money came from. This is not an accusation. It is a standard licence requirement applied to every operator in our jurisdiction.

Acceptable evidence includes recent payslips, a tax assessment, bank statements showing regular income, sale contracts for property or shares, or documented inheritance. We assess what you send, and if it reasonably explains the transaction sizes we saw, the file closes and your account returns to normal.

How We Monitor Transactions

Every deposit and withdrawal passes through automated screening, and larger or unusual transactions get a second, human review. Crypto deposits are credited after one network confirmation, and withdrawals are processed within 0 to 4 hours once checks clear.

We follow a same-method withdrawal rule: money goes back by the same route it arrived. If you deposited with Tether, you withdraw in Tether; if you deposited with Visa, we return funds to that card. The minimum deposit is 2 AUD, the minimum withdrawal is 30 AUD, and the daily withdrawal cap is 16,000 AUD. We charge no fees on either side.

When Accounts Get Restricted

If verification fails, or you do not respond to a document request within 30 days, we suspend withdrawals on the account until the matter is resolved. Your balance stays yours; we simply cannot release funds from an account we cannot lawfully verify.

Serious cases go further. Where we find documents that are forged, accounts opened with false details, or a third party using your account, we close the account and, where the law requires it, file a report with the authorities. Restricted accounts can always reach our compliance team at [email protected], available 24/7, to contest a decision or supply corrected documents.

How Long We Keep Documents

Our licence obliges us to retain verification records and transaction logs for five years after your account closes. Retention protects you as much as us: it preserves the evidence trail needed if a transaction is ever queried by a bank, a regulator or a court.

Once the retention period ends, we delete or irreversibly anonymise your documents. If you close your account and want confirmation of deletion timing, contact [email protected] and our compliance team will confirm the date in writing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to verify my identity to play with crypto at Coinpoker Casino?

No. Crypto play runs without KYC in the ordinary course. We only request documents for fiat transactions, withdrawals above 16,000 AUD, or when monitoring flags unusual account activity.

How long does verification take?

Most document reviews are completed within 24 hours. You can track the status of each document in the Verification tab of your account dashboard.

Why must I withdraw by the same method I deposited with?

Our same-method rule is a core AML control. It confirms that funds return to their rightful owner and prevents money laundering through mismatched payment channels.

What happens if I ignore a document request?

After 30 days without a response we suspend withdrawals. Your balance remains intact, and the suspension lifts as soon as you supply the requested documents.

Who can see my verification documents?

Only compliance staff with a legitimate business need. Documents are encrypted in transit, stored on restricted servers, and retained for five years after account closure as our licence requires.
